What unfolded in Ozoro, over the course of those hours, has since convulsed Nigeria, exposing once more the fragile and contested boundary between cultural tradition and violence against women and girls.

As a fan of Chinua Achebe’s brilliant style of writing and his very bit-by-bit, simple English storytelling pattern, I can understand the stories reflected much of the Nigerian society.

We are now faced with more scenarios of choosing the lesser evil based on our moral compass shaped by our frame of reference over time.
