😋Food, Me and Summer - Outside Shenanigans

As summer winds down, I have done a lot of eating and going outside because that's what we do all summer. You soak in as much sun as you can before the winter darkness takes over. I hope you had a great summer and you went outside to catch plenty of the sunlight. I did a lot of reading this summer. My book review can't keep up, but I hope I eventually write as much as I read. I also hope you made new friends and connected more with the reality offline around you.
I am thankful for how things are progressing this year. God has been most gracious to me and my household. So, I am sharing these photos for memory's sake beyond social media because, as I mentioned in a previous post, I am doing more to connect people in a way that doesn't have to depend on social media.
As someone who loves food, I am trying to eat outside my Nigerian palate. Visiting new restaurants in my area to eat something different (even though the menu leaves me with even more questions) and cooking something new on my menu at least once every week. Let me add that finding Nigerian food is not easy in my area, and when you do, it is very expensive. So, you learn to cope with alternatives and enjoy the meals as you evolve. One thing is that I still hold onto my spicy side—it's hard to give that up.
My children are losing their ability to hold on to spicy dishes. One of them has finally joined me and my found love for mashed potatoes. My husband has stayed true to spiciness like myself, but some days, I think my craving is stronger.

Well, that's it, folks. Catch me with my next blog post next.
